One of the biggest benefits of having artificial grass is that it needs much less maintenance to look great than natural grass does. While you won’t be needing to break out the lawnmower or sprinklers anytime soon, you’ll still need to give your artificial grass the care that it needs.

Luckily, we’re here to help you do just that.

Regularly Clear Debris

You need to make sure that you regularly clear any leaves, twigs and other debris from your artificial grass. Aside from them just not looking very nice, they can also put too much weight on your grass which might cause it to lose it’s height and spring – which is something that nobody wants!

Don’t Forget to Weed

Your artificial grass might not be alive, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to deal with the same pesky weeds as usual. Weeds can push their way up through your artificial grass, just like they would natural grass, so it’s best to keep an eye out for any intruders and lay down weed killer where appropriate.

Rinse, Clean and Blow

Artificial grass won’t grow, so you don’t need to worry about trimming, but you will still need to give it the occasional rinse and clean. Cleaning can be as simple as gently rinsing your grass with a hose – use a leaf blower too, to push any wayward grass back into position.

That’s about it! We told you that it was much easier to look after artificial grass, didn’t we?

If you’re fed up of your usual routine of mowing and raking your natural lawn, then now might be the right time for you to give artificial grass a try. Just call us here at AstroMasters and we”ll get you sorted.
